Located in an area of Old Town Key West Florida where cigar making was the primary source of income at the turn of the century, The Grand was a rooming house for the workers at the former cigar manufacturer at the end of the block. Built in the 1880’s, the house was converted in the 1940’s into the home of a single family. Occupied by the family until the 1960’s, the structure was converted back to a rooming house in the ensuing years.
In 1998, the Key West, Florida property was transformed from its formerly humble beginnings into The Grand Guesthouse. Today, each of our rooms feature private bathrooms and entrances, Queen or King size beds, A/C & ceiling fans, cable television, USB charging stations, a small refrigerator, and tropical decor. Lush tropical landscaping defines the outdoor areas, where deck chairs and tables are waiting for guests to sit and enjoy breakfast or just relax and enjoy the tranquility of our courtyard.
